Fast charging ports announced for more shopping center locations

Queens and Long Island are the first to get EV charging stations as part of promotion to start with shopping centers. The company Kempower installed the first one at the Glen Oaks Shopping Center which is rarely used as per security on premise but decided to expand to the next destinations. There are Elmont, Whitestone, Levittown and Commack shopping centers coming this summer. The company says the price is fair with free wifi and flexible payment options. The five locations will have a total of 80 EV charging stations to help shoppers with peace of mind. Already many are opting to buy gas powered vehicles over electric in NYC due to less charging locations compared to gas stations all around. To make it balance it will take a long time since the year 2030 is when NY allows new vehicles all must be electric to sell in the state only. However, anyone can buy gas powered vehicles from out of state anyway to drive in NY.
