Fairway auction to be held for 6 locations

On March 16, under Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of NY after announcing qualified overbid by Bogopa Enterprises for 6 Fairway stores and its distribution center for $75 million will have auction for sale process. Fairway has also received competitive bids for various other stores that are being evaluated. Bogopa is a family-owned business that has operated grocery stores in the New York area for 32 years, and currently operates 26 supermarkets under the "Food Bazaar" banner in New York City, New Jersey, Long Island, Connecticut and Westchester. The 6 locations have not been announced. The store inside Douglaston Shopping Center is expected to close on March 24 unless the bid includes the location.
