Events for the weekend in the local area

Saturday, October 22, starting 9:30am, there will be a parade in New Hyde Park. The meet is at the corner of Jericho Turnpike and Lakeville Road parking lot. Then the parade will march on Jericho Turnpike eastbound to New Hyde Park Road's Village Hall where there will be more events.

Saturday, October 22 will have movie night at Francis Lewis Park from 6:15pm to 8:30pm. The movie showing is Hocus Pocus. The entrance is 3rd Avenue in Whitestone.

Sunday, October 23 will have Halloween celebration at the Great Lawn Park in Astoria from 1pm to 3pm.

All are free and open to the public.
