Eleven percent down on to from Roosevelt Avenue

The NYC Mayor went up and up telling all of an aggressive 90 day police operation on Roosevelt Avenue from Jackson Heights, Elmhurst to Corona has prostitution, illegal vending and other crimes down by 21%. The Mayor also says no elected officials were supporting except one member of the NYC Council, Francis Moya stepped in. All others from NY Assemblymember Jessica Ramos, Congress member Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Assembly member Jessica González-Rojas and Assembly member Catalina Cruz abstained from working with the Mayor on the issues despite reaching out to them.

As of January 22, Operation Restore Roosevelt resulted in nearly 1,000 arrests, over 11,500 summonses, 18 vacate orders issued, and 223 engagements made with homeless New Yorkers as per Mayor's Office.

The operation continues after 90 days and now the number stands at 8%, an increase at 29%. One place the crime continues to be volatile and its subways inside the 7 line. NYPD is now working to add more cops from other local precincts around citywide in the coming weeks.
