Eastbound Union Turnpike closed due to fatality

Police confirmed the female struck by a FedEx delivery truck, has died at the local hospital. This is on Union Turnpike and 193rd Street eastbound in Fresh Meadows. Union Turnpike remains closed for investigation. The driver of the FedEx is cooperating with the police. Highway CIS is working on the scene.
