Driver dead after single crash on the Grand Central Parkway

Police are investigating a fatal accident involving a single vehicle on the Grand Central Parkway. It happened on Sunday around 5:20am. This is by 111th Street near Exit 8 in East Elmhurst.

The driver died on the scene. The driver has been identified as Raeven Rishi. The vehicle was a 2022 Hyndai SUV. 

The incident was reported on the eastbound left lane. Police sources confirmed this was result of speeding.

Another passenger was in the vehicle but in stable condition at the local hospital.

The investigation continues.
