Domestic incident in the town of Copake leads to arrest

On April 28, 2025, New York State Police in Livingston arrested a Columbia County woman on charges related to domestic abuse.

Troopers, along with the Hudson Police Department and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a residence in the Town of Copake following a report of a domestic dispute involving a knife.

An investigation revealed that Natasha Fielder, 38, and the victim had engaged in a verbal argument earlier in the day. For an unknown reason, Fielder later stabbed the victim in the shoulder with a knife. The victim managed to get away and call for assistance. He was transported to a local medical facility, where he is listed in stable condition.
