Dead body found by Astoria Park

Police reported park goers were shocked after seeing a dead body floating. The report came in around 3pm when something was moving in the river by Shore Blvd. ESU removed the body. The city’s medical examiner transported the body for autopsy. EMS attended to many people in the park after getting the shock from seeing it. Ongoing investigation.
