Contact tracing starts today in NY

Governor Cuomo stated contact tracing starts today. The only number that will display in your caller id is ?NYS Contact Tracing (518-387-9993)". All other numbers and text must be disregarded maybe scammers. Cuomo is advising all to pick up the phone if a call came from that number. However, you don't have to pick up as there is no law to do so. If you do pick up, then the tracer will add your name into the system and encourage a free testing and additional tasks. You are free to get test on your own will for safety and doesn't have to cooperate with the government.
