Community input coming soon for e scooter program in Queens

This time, no pedal people, no pedal.

After the pilot program of the e-scooter program in the Bronx, the city is expanding to Queens.

First, the program will need community inputs and the dates will be announced through community boards next year.

The plan to launch is in 2024.

The 3 companies, Bird, Veo and Lime are the assigned operators in Queens after the Bronx.

The maximum speed for an e-scooter is 15mph and 10mph for a novice.

The designated route is between Flushing hub to JFK boundary and vice versa.

The electric scooter is emission free that's charged at each station ready to go with money paid to use.

Once the pilot program is success, it will expand all over NYC for all to ride around as alternative transportation.
