City is cracking down illegal rooftop barbecuing

Charcoal or propane tank barbecuing are allowed on any rooftop without a permit in NYC for both residential and commercial buildings. The city will not issue a permit unless its approved by FDNY fire marshals in each borough and its only for eatery businesses that must undergo several phases.\
