Carjacking of an Uber driver investigation in Bellerose

The NYPD released surveillance pictures of an alleged suspect wanted for carjacking in Bellerose. The incident was reported on October 10 around 11:30pm on 241st Street and 86th Avenue.

Police stated the driver of Uber was called to the location. This is when the suspect opened the front passenger door and allegedly punched the driver several times and then bit the victim. The driver was then pushed out of the vehicle and took off on 86th Avenue where several parked vehicles were hit and then stopped after striking a tree in front of a home.

From there, the suspect ran away on foot.

Police described the suspect as female, black last seen in the area.

So far no arrests.
