Car meet in Middle Village has local residents demanding arrests

Before Glen Oaks, Whitestone and Bayside reported car meets where teens living with parents would do a stunt circus to impress around looking cool posting on social media.

On April 18 around 2am, locals called 911 of the same car meet, this time in Middle Village in the vicinity of Elliot Avenue and 69th Street. Locals say the group were doing donuts with fire around in circles in the middle of the road near the gas station.

Now a local member of the City Council demands an NYPD investigation leading to arrests. The same Councilmember says police were overpowered by the same group of car meet. The suspects managed to escape before more NYPD showed up.

All these youths had no money to spend but filled the tank with parent's credit card and went out to do donuts with car meet making them look cool to impress on Saturday night. One best thing about them is that they will still live with their parents all their lives.

The Mayor or Attorney General who support these groups have not responded. The NYPD is now adding more patrol around the area to stay alert for tonight.

Street takeovers are part of a national trend that migrated from California and gained significant momentum in NYC. By 2024 and 2025, these events were already a major concern for residents and law enforcement:
