Call 311 instead of 911 for homeless on your property in NYC

There are reports that NY and NYC allows homeless to camp in private or public properties. This resulting no action from police but threaten to arrest private property owners if homeless are being forced to remove. The number to call for such issue is 311 and not 911. One source confirmed homeless are leaving shelters due to violence and can check other shelter if space is available. The NYC Dept of Homeless Service refuse to comment on this but a new record reported the number is reaching close to 100,000 making NYC the number one city with the highest homeless population at record peak. The city also confirmed subways or near underpasses, where encampments have emerged in local neighborhoods. So far the city has set aside $120 million as of January 2020 to build 1,000 apartments and another 1,000 for safe havens.
