Busways proposed to Queens locations

The MTA requested 60 miles for new bus lanes to the mayor. The mayor is offering 5 new busways with 20 miles. The busway is complete closure of streets with no vehicles. The first busway is 14 Street in Manhattan which is only for MTA buses.The proposed busways are Main Street from Northern Blvd to Sanford Avenue, Jamaica Avenue from 168 Street to Sutphin Blvd and Merrick Blvd from Springfield Blvd to Hillside Avenue.
Update - The mayor stated the list will be on trial basis and if successful, they will be permanent. The first start will be Main Street this month. Jamaica in July.
