Business adapted and its growing fast from Elmhurst Dairy

Elmhurst Dairy is now selling nutmilk and its growing faster than before when they were selling cow milk. Elmhurst Dairy, the once well known for selling cow milk to NYC public schools and grocery stores has rebranded as Elmhurst Nutmilk. Each bottle sells for $4.99 to $5.99 depending on the flavors. The plant in Queens closed and almost 300 people were out of work after being in business for 90 years. Now the company operates out of Elma in upstate NY in a new facility. According to Nielsen, the company that collects data from survey reported more people are switching to nut milk from dairy free products due to healthier options.
