Burglary reported at Douglaston

Police reported burglary at a residence in the vicinity of 248 Street and 54 Avenue in Douglaston. It happened after 9:30pm. Reported one suspect in custody. A witness stated homeless people were looking for empty homes either listed with real estate sign or abandoned were the target. Police also confirmed the investigation is ongoing searching for a suspect driving a Cadillac possibly scouting around. Ongoing investigation.
