Bodycount continues to increase in NYC

Over the weekend, 21 people shot in NYC with 1 homicide. The new models are drive by shooting and carjacking. For Queens, around 2am, a driver was carjacked in College Point. A suspect rear ended and when the driver of the Maserati got out of the vehicle, another suspect took off with the vehicle. This is on 23rd Avenue and 124 Street. The suspect also took off with the original vehicle. As for the mayor's plea of please put the guns down, 8 public housing locations reported shots fired including Astoria and Jamaica. Around 10pm, a 22 year old was shot dead while sitting inside his Range Rover in Astoria at 41st Street and 30th Avenue. This happened when two suspects were sitting in the backshot fired from the gun. Ongoing investigation.
