Bird on a wire resulted power outage in Bayside

Over 1,500 customers residing at the following zip codes are without power. The zip codes are 11360 and 11361 in Bayside. This is due to a bird nest causing fire resulting a transformer failure. All birds escaped safely from the fire and will rebuild a nest somewhere else.

Coned is working on the area to restore power.

Bell Blvd vicinity is also affected by 35th Avenue and 215th Place.
