Bill passed in Nassau County allowing cops to sue protesters

The Nassau County Legislature passed the bill that will allow police officers to sue protesters in event of injury, damage or discrimination. Each police officer can sue seeking financial damages against protesters. The legislature responded that police officers are a protected class of first responders.

The county executive will sign the bill to make it a law.
