Beside checking drivers NYPD does stop and frisk in the area

Since Monday under Vision Zero, police in plainclothes are driving around in a Caravan and Town and Country brands randomly stopping people, patting them down to check for any suspicious items on Union Turnpike from Commonwealth Blvd to Little Neck Parkway.
