Bellerose home raided and three in custody for fake vapor products

The Asset Forfeiture and Intelligence Unit report the arrest of three men for Trade Mark Counterfeiting of vape products that occurred on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 12:00 A.M. in Nassau/Suffolk County and Queens.

According to Detectives, several search warrants in regards to counterfeit goods were executed in locations throughout Nassau and Suffolk County. These searches were executed by members of the NCPD, Nassau County District Attorney?s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, Customs and Border Patrol, and the NYPD. Locations are the following:

Private Residence - 879 Fams Court, East Meadow

Private Residence - 246-68 87th Avenue, Bellerose

Private Residence - 194 East Meadow Avenue, East Meadow

Card Smart Store - 172-A Gardiners Avenue, Levittown

Card Smart Store - 1918 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow

Smoke and Vape Store - 194 East Meadow Avenue, East Meadow

Card Smart Store - 18 Veteran?s Memorials Highway, Commack

The search resulted in three arrests, defendant Ali Asghar, 58, and Ali Zar, 33, both residing at 879 Fams Court, East Meadow and Ali Moosa, 35, of 246-68 87th Avenue, Bellerose. In total, approximately $140,000.00 in US Currency and $1,500,000.00 of counterfeit vaping products were confiscated.

Defendants Ali Asghar, Ali Zar and Ali Moosa are all charged with Trade Mark Counterfeiting 1st degree. All will be arraigned on Friday, August 2, 2019 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead. (From NCPD)
