Being last always go to the usual winner for the casino

Well almost!

All eyes and ears will be on September 30 for that Flushing casino if a Yes or No vote.

The members who will vote for the Flushing deal are the following — Gregory Anderson, George Dixon, Donovan Richards, Lin Zeng, Francisco Moya and Larinda Hooks who will also chair. This is not open to the public. This is the moment of day Queens will know if Flushing voted Yes to move forth.

Also, September 30 is the last day for the Yes or No vote from the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) for all casino license applicants. September 22 is Freedom Plaza near the UN in Manhattan and September 25 for the Empire Casino in Yonkers are the remaining votes. A date has not been announced for these: Coney Island, Bally’s and Resorts. Many are speculating Resorts is safe from elimination.

The meeting for Flushing casino ended up early after pros and cons clashed at the Queens Borough President's Office last Tuesday.

The biggest cons for Flushing are higher rent, crime, gambling and environmental issues. The pros are, as per developer, to create 23,000 jobs and 6,700 permanent positions. A cool $1 billion for the community activities.

It's a wait and watch on September 30 for Flushing.
