Bayside man busted for counterfeit items from China

Police arrested Hai Long Huang of Bayside and charged with counterfeit items while operating out his home and garage from China.

Huang has been under investigation since 2011.

Authorities reported almost $5 million dollars worth of fake boots primarily UGG and Timberlands were seized. Beside Bayside, authorities seized at a location in Manhattan by Delancey and Suffolk Streets.

The investigation started when an undercover officers purchased a fake Timberland shoe for $515 in August 2019.
