Bayside fire reported multiple fatalities

FDNY reported heavy fire at a home in Bayside. The incident last night around 3am in the basement where people were trapped inside.

The fire marshal reported three bodies have been recovered so far.

The medical examiner transported the bodies to conduct autopsies.

EMS reported more injuries including neighbors who suffered smoke inhalation.

Firefighters are continuing with the fire control on the scene.

This is on 208th Street at the location, 33-35 near the Clearview Expressway.

The investigation continues.
