Bankruptcy to restructure for the auto markets moving forth

The latest bankruptcy has many auto stores under restructure plans. The biggest name is Advanced Auto Parts with 5,000 stores nationwide under plan to close 727 locations with job loss by mid 2025. The next one is Wheel Pros along with Hoonigan which filed for bankruptcy in September 2024 to eliminate $1.2 billion debt. Accuride Corp is another name under bankruptcy to restructure in the coming weeks. Battery maker Northvolt AB is undergoing change to avoid a shutdown.

One brand that was all over television while back, AAMCO Transmission has filed bankruptcy on April 29, 2025 to reorganize its operations at all franchise locations. The company was started in 1957 in Philadelphia is facing competition with new retailers in the market.

The biggest surprise is Autozone which is doing well nationwide with over 7,000 locations.
