Attempted kidnapping reported in Great Neck

Third Squad detectives are investigating an unusual incident that occurred on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 6:44 pm in Great Neck.

According to detectives, while walking home from school on Baker Hill Road in the vicinity of Chadwick Road, a 14 year old female victim was approached by a newer model white four door vehicle that was occupied by an undescribed driver and a elderly female passenger. (See sketch) The female passenger opened her door while the vehicle was still in motion and tried to entice the victim to get into the car, multiple times, offering her a ride home. When the victim took out her phone to make a call, the vehicle then left the area. After running home and reporting the incident to her father, the police were contacted.
