Arrest made for illegal vape in East Meadow

The Strategic Response Team (SRT) report the arrest of a Brooklyn man for an incident that occurred on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 9:57 pm.

According to Police, officers conducted an investigation targeting the sale of flavored vape products being sold at Convenience and Smoke Shop located at 2050 Hempstead Turnpike. During the investigation, officers observed a large quantity of flavored vape products and a large quantity of Kratom displayed for sale. 

As a result of the investigation, Defendant Assem Mohamed, 33, is charged with Sale of Restricted Products and Sale of Flavored Products Prohibited. He was issued a Desk Appearance Tickets returnable to First District Court on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
