Arrest in Inwood for a stabbing

The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of an Inwood man for an Assault that occurred on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 7:05 pm in Inwood. According to detectives, police responded to a 911 call for a stabbing victim in front of 18 Mott Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed a male victim, 53, on the ground with a laceration to his back. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and is listed in serious but stable condition. An investigation by police determined that a male subject, Angel Jesus Arancibia Campos, 39, was involved in an earlier dispute with the victim. Officers located him a short time later and placed him into custody without incident. Defendant Angel Jesus Arancibia Campos is charged with Assault 1st Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
