Another sheriff imposter busted in Astoria

NYPD arrested a male after walking around on Broadway in Astoria with fake badge and vest acting as NYC sheriff. The suspect was approached by two real sheriffs since he was walking alone with conversation with a store owner on the sidewalk. The imposter tried to run and apprehended shortly by police after recognizing him in the crowd. Charges are pending. The incident was reported on August 10 after 8pm.
