All moved out now onto demolition for the busy Jamaica corner

The corner lot of Hillside Avenue and Parsons Blvd now with one store commercial which is one of the heartbeat of Jamaica has all tenants re-located or closed for good. Demolition permit has been approved to make way for a way to build a nine story with retail, commercial and parking mixed lot.

The permit listed 98 residences from one, two to three bedrooms.

It was built in 1931 and now it's all a memory of the new concrete building where people don't need to wear sunglasses for shades.

The area is now booming with the new demographic mostly from Bangladesh, one of the largest people producing countries in the world after India and China. A new public high school is also under construction and more towers in the area to meet the demand with less private vehicles. The date has not been announced for the demolition as of yet.

This is a large new voter base for NYC.

The NYC Mayor quoted, “Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time.”
