Albertson husband and wife arrested for selling synthetic marijua in Williston Park

Police arrested Rajesh Shah, 62 and his wife, Sunita Shah, 57 of Albertson and charged with criminal possession of controlled substance on Wednesday, October 4. They were allegedly selling synthetic marijuana from their business, Simply Foot Spa located on 120 Hillside Avenue near the LIRR station. Police also found over 5,000 bags of synthetic marijuana. Calls came for gas leak at the location and firefighters were granted entry by Sunita. After discovering synthetic marijuana in the basement, firefighters called police. Neighbor store, Charles Water Karate and Fitness called after the gas smell around 12pm. Traffic on Hillside Avenue during rush hour had one lane closed. Both were arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead. Police reported the street value of items from the store were worth over $250,000. pic from NCPD.
