A pedestrian died after struck by vehicle in Maspeth

Police closed off Grand Avenue and 69th Street reporting a pedestrian struck by vehicle died. The incident was reported around 12:30pm. EMS transported the pedestrian to a local hospital who later died. The driver remains on the scene and is cooperating with the police. Highway CIS is continuing with the investigation.

The intersection is closed.
