9 year old struck and killed on Northern Blvd

Police have closed Northern Blvd between 70 and 72nd Street after a 9 year old was struck and killed by hit and run. Reported the driver was trying to making left in the crosswalk when the incident happened and then took off. People who witnessed the incident stopped the driver on 74th Street and held until police arrived. The driver, an 86 year old man denied the incident. It happened around 1pm.
