9 year old died after home fire in Ozone Park

FDNY reported fire at 81-09 102nd Street. This is a private dwelling in Ozone Park. It started around 2am. Multiple injuries. EMS confirmed a 9 year old died. 11 others are in stable condition at local hospitals. It took more than 200 firefighters to bring the fire under control by 3am. The cause of fire is under investigation.

Fire Commissioner stated charging the battery from an e-bike caused fatal fire. This is the 3rd such fire death this year.
