5G is coming to New York City

AT&T will be the first company to launch 5G version network for NY. On December 21, AT&T turned on 5G to Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Louisville, Oklahoma City, New Orleans, San Antonio and Waco, Texas.

Currently with 4G, the speed will be 20 times faster for services from download to live streaming. A date has not been announced but 2019 is the year beside AT&T, other companies, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile also launching 5G.

AT&T confirmed the first round of cities will be Las Vegas, Nashville, Orlando, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose, California. With the new 5G, hardware have to be upgraded including phones.
