18 year old arrested for stealing dog in Corona

On Wednesday, October 25 evening, police reported the arrest of Mariela Saqipulla, 18 of Queens and charged with theft and criminal possession of stolen property. On Friday, around 8:30am, the owner of the dog called police of someone stole their pet, a Shih Tzu from their front yard at 97th Street and 37th Avenue. After police plastered Saqipulla's pic from surveillance video and media picked up, she went to the Precinct herself and turned in the dog.
