18 is the age to get married in NY

The NY governor signed the bill all adults wanting to get married must be 18 or above in the state. In 2017, the child marriage was banned but people found loop holes. Then came two sponsors Julia Carmel and Phil Ramos with the bill of all marriage age is 18 which took 3 years in the making. All adults 18 and above must consent to marriage protecting girls against trafficking and arranged marriages.
