15 year old arrested for robbery in Freeport

First Squad detectives report the arrest of a male juvenile from Freeport, for an Attempted Robbery that occurred on Monday, July 1, 2019, at 10:00 pm in Baldwin.

According to detectives, a 43 year old male victim was walking on Merrick Road and Milburn Avenue, when he was approached by a 15 year old who displayed a black handled knife and demanded money. The victim did not comply and called police.

First Precinct officers responded, located the male juvenile who was still at the scene, and placed him under arrest without further incident. No injuries were reported.

The juvenile subject is charged with Attempted Robbery 1st Degree and Menacing 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on Tuesday, July 2, 2019. (From NCPD)
