1 2 mile of Queens Blvd to get bike lanes in Kew Gardens

The work to add bike lanes, safety improvements and other traffic changes will resume this summer on Queens Blvd between Yellowstone Blvd and Union Turnpike in Kew Gardens. The project was halted after protest from the community groups that voted down. The 1.2 mile will add bike lanes and elimination of parking spots up to 200. The project is part of Vision Zero. Often called the Boulevard of Death where 200 died, safety measures has been an ongoing project. Now comes the interesting part. The city's Dept of Transportation will not disclose the plan to the public of the new change.
